Conundrum’s Performance Ensemble invites young people (ages 12-18) to be co-creators and collaborators in the creative process as they work to create an original theatrical work for presentation in Singapore in 2022 and Australia in 2023!
Guided by award-winning theatre maker and applied theatre practitioner, Claire Glenn, young, emerging artists will be given the space to create the work that they want to create, by responding to provocations to ignite the devising process.
The Performance Ensemble will take risks, gain insight into the devising process, refine their performance skills as individuals and a group, and experience working together as a theatre company. Throughout the year, the ensemble will experiment with improvisation, scene work, devising, character development, writing, movement, vocal work, monologues and more! They will investigate world issues and current events, tell stories, analyse scripts, and, perhaps most importantly, make, rehearse and perform their very own, original show.
Conundrum’s Performance Ensemble promises to provide fun and challenging theatrical experiences that will produce dynamic, confident and courageous theatre makers and performers.
When: Every Wednesday from 5pm - 7:30pm beginning on the 1st of September
Where: The Goodman Arts Centre, 90 Goodman Road, Singapore, 439053 (TBC)
Cost: Term One: $1000pp Term Two: $800pp Term Three: $800pp
Please Note:
A Singapore performance will take place in March 2022. In the lead up to this, some extra rehearsal will be required on Sundays. There will be no additional charges for these rehearsals.
We plan on touring to Adelaide, Australia in February 2023 for the Adelaide Fringe Festival (Covid-19 Border Restrictions pending). There may be additional charges to take part in this tour.
