Is the theatre an outdated institution? Or is professional millennial Mitchell Fang too damn lazy to write a full length play? Have you been putting off writing for Netflix too? Is every night Saturday Night Live for you?

Before the world turned to sh*t, Mitchell wrote (for) and directed stage comedies such as 'The Naughty List: A Christmas Sketch Show', and '1000 Millennials Crying', and is hoping to do it all over again! But writing is a lonely process, and COVID has just about eliminated all of Mitchell's dating prospects; so if you're looking for a laugh and semi-good company, get some wine at the ready and join us for a night of comedy sketching! As actress-comedian Maya Rudolph gently notes, 'you don't have to only be a genius when you write alone'. Borrowing tips and tricks from Scott Sedita's 'The Eight Characters of Comedy' and other sources, this interest group is a safe space for outrageously bad jokes and attempting 'sketch comedy' in collaborative fashion not unlike a writer's room.

Date: Monday, 13 December 2021
Time: 7:00pm - 9:30pm
Venue: Online via Zoom
Admission:  Free Admission by Registration (spaces limited)

Note: This is an interest group - we're all comedic hobbyists at this point, so if fart jokes are all you have at the moment, come let's get gassy together ;)

Note (you thought I was done): While this interest group will endeavour to be a safe space for all comedic voices to emerge, political correctness is bound to be taken down a few notches. Unless you are morally bankrupt, join us with an open mind and all the facets of your disgusting self. ;)

Note (it's the last one I swear): You may need a notepad, a pen, or who-am-I-kidding-an-ipad for our time together! And a glass of wine dis is veh important..

Note (PSYCH!): This interest group will primarily be conducted in Singlish and English. If you'd like to write in other languages please be prepared to translate and in turn teach the rest of us!
