In this workshop, participants will explore the potential of devised theatre. Participants will learn about the different elements of devised theatre, such as improvisation, storytelling, and physical theatre. They will also learn how to work collaboratively with others to create a cohesive and meaningful performance.

About the Facilitator

Holding a BA(Hons) in Acting from Lasalle, Wendi Lim Wee Hian is currently pursuing her MA (Research) in Theatre and Performance Studies at NUS. Her training includes an immersive experience with the Suzuki Company of Toga in Toga, Japan (2017) as well as SITI Company Summer Camp (2018).   

Wendi's interests revolve around a profound fascination with movement, actor training, and the magic of collaboration. Some of her theatre credits include in 9 Years Theatre's ""你我之间"" (Huayi 2022), SIFA 2021 production of ""3 Sisters"" in collaboration with SITI Company and 9 Years, and Drama Box's ""Tanah.Air"" and ""Chinatown Crossings"". With a boundless curiosity and dedication to her craft, Wendi Wee Hian hopes to explore new horizons in theatre, intertwining her diverse training and experiences into captivating narratives.

Level Up! Fest 2023

Level Up! Fest 2023 is a two-day learning festival specially curated for the Drama CCA Instructors and Teachers-in-charge. It will address some of the sector’s competency gaps, advance capabilities of educators and encourage the development of holistic Drama CCA experiences for students in today's world.

This year, Level Up! Fest is presented in partnership with Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), LASALLE College of the Arts (LASALLE) and National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NIE NTU, Singapore).

Gain new knowledge and strategies from 6 workshops designed and facilitated by faculty members from NAFA School of Arts Management, Dance & Theatre, LASALLE School of Dance and Theatre and NIE NTU Visual and Performing Arts Academic Group. From introductory programmes to in-depth skills development workshops, there is something for everyone!
